It came in with limp mode fully engaged. A quick scan with our dealer level diagnostics and it was evident that the DPF had failed.
Reading 117% full, it wasn’t even possible to do a forced regeneration.
The customer had a choice, either have the DPF Cleaned or removed, the later was chosen. Please note though, this option was only available as the vehicle is not used on any highway, it is only used on private land and tracks.
With the DPF now removed and welded back up, a remap was required.
Our Stage 1 software was chosen taking the A4 from 170bhp and 258ftlb to 214bhp and 306ftlb
Now it was time to do a bit of testing of the new software. As we have access to 4 miles of private road, it means we can test cars that are set up for track use.
0-60mph – 7.6 Seconds
30-50mph – 3.0 Seconds
50-80mph – 6.3 seconds
After the customers test drive, they loved it. A big grin is always a pleasure to see when working with customers.
Yet another customer leaving with a healthy more powerful car.
