Fitted UK 2016

The return of Fitted UK for the second year and what a show!
Vast is an understatement, like ordering food at Wahaca in London, or booking a hotel in NYC you really are spoiled for choice. Over 1000 cars on show, there was something for everyone.
Stark contrast between the Golf MK7 and an original Beetle. Just a little disappointing to see it ruined with Veuve branding.
Golf R32’s are synonymous with that Deep Blue Pearl paint, there’s a reason for that.
Whilst we’re talking about colours, the warp on this was incredible.
A custom chopped twin cab Transporter T5.
With decking out the back you could say it’s the ultimate festival/beach bus on the road.
We managed to get early access to the show, the attention to detail people were putting in. Removing the bumper to show off the FMIC.
Julian Loose putting last minute touches to his Audi S4 in the way of track taping up his lights.
Datsun 240z. Many cool cars have come out of the Datsun/Nissan stable.
Does a BMW E30 get any better? Answers on a postcard.
Those seats though, the definition of stripped back. They look like they were inspired by Jason Statham’s Death Race. What a work of art, for us it was the interior of the show.
For wheels of the show we’d have chosen Conor Christy’s MK4 Golf R32 fitted with Fifteen52 Turbomacs.
This was our car of the show, a Porsche Cayman S. Sitting on Fifteen52 Tarmacs with a beautiful paint job. Very simple and very clean, we were stopped in our tracks.
Clearly it wasn’t plain sailing for everyone.
A BMW E21, perfect everyday car for driving around Belize…
We weren’t sure if the colour was Duck Egg Blue but we liked it.
Two MK4 Golfs excluding paint and wheels, spot the difference.
When you think this was maybe a quarter of 1 hall and the show was 3 halls with an outdoor section…
Carbon fibre for a reason. No Bags, no scene camber, a fully fledged race spec Audi R8 LMS.
We think this image best sums up Fitted UK 2016.
What an evolution from the disjointedness of last years show. Hats off to Alex and his crew for organising it all, we had a great weekend.
