Today we were working on a 2007 Seat Leon FR MK2 1P 170TDI
We had already worked on this car performing a DPF Forced Regeneration. The customer was returning after having physically removed their DPF to have it mapped out along with the EGR blanked. The issues the customer was having with the DPF was due to the driving style, of which was many short town journeys and school runs. With the DPF not having the correct conditions to work properly it was failing so removing it was the right thing to do.
Before we got started we took some benchmark figures:
Power |
170bhp |
Torque |
350nm |
0-60mph |
7.9sec |
30-50mph |
3.0sec |
50-80mph |
6.6sec |
After a very quick read of the cars ECU, it was time to load our custom software with DPF, EGR and V-Max removal.
Now it was time to see the affect our software had on performance:
Power |
227bhp |
Torque |
421nm |
0-60mph |
7.1sec |
30-50mph |
2.6sec |
50-80mph |
5.7sec |
