Ford Fair 2016 Show

On Saturday morning we set of on the 277 mile journey from The Lake District to Silverstone for Ford Fair 2016.
On the way we met up with the local Ford club, Cumbria Ford Meet and joined their convoy.
Contrary to popular belief there is life north of Manchester. You start to get a glimpse of the views driving through Cumbria on the M6 but it doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface.
This immaculate 1989 Fiesta with a set of spaced out deep dishes looked incredible.
Its crazy what you find in service station car parks on the way to shows. A boisterous Focus RS Mk1 with full period correct livery.
It was onto the show, well sort of. We arrived at 07:00 and had to cue for 20 mins to get in, others arrived at 08:00 and had to cue for almost 2 hours!
For us it was straight to see the GT.
How can Ford, the company that brought you the Ka, create something so beautiful?
How can they make a leap from the Focus RS and Mustang to this with nothing in between?
As a Scorpion Exhausts dealer we popped over to their stand to say hello.
They cover all of the performance Ford range. Here’s the 3″ turbo back system they have for the Focus RS MK2.
The new 5 litre Mustang with their development exhaust sounded crazy.
Then it was over to see Al and the guys at Airtec.
As you can see it is all about the MK3 RS at the moment. Their Front Mount Intercooler.
And their induction kit.
They had BTCC driver Aron Smith giving it death out on track most of the day.
This is how you arrive to a show!
We called by the Tarox stand to check out what they had on show.
Their brake set ups really are second to none.
Here they are getting a good bit of track abuse in 25 degrees heat.
After positive talks at the show we’re hoping to be able to offer Tarox products within the coming months.

All in all it was a great show and another one that we will certainly be adding to the calendar for next year.
